Growth Classes
We provide personal growth classes in the evenings to encourage people in their lives. These classes include: Changes That Heal, Safe People, God Will Make A Way, and Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Townsend. The classes involve viewing a video, question and answer time, and small group interaction. These classes are open to both SMCC members and anyone in the community.
Marriage Enrichment
Twice a year we offer a researched-based program called Christian PREP, which is designed for pre-marital and married couples. It teaches couples how to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and solve problems without damaging closeness. The classes are held on a Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm in Sierra Madre.
Parenting With Love and Logic
This class offers parents (and grandparents!) a low-stress, win-win approach to raising children and teenagers. It provides practical and effective approaches for dealing with real, everyday parenting issues. The class runs for 7 consecutive evenings from 7 to 9 PM. The cost is $20 per person or $30 per couple. (Alumni are free.) Child care is provided for those children who are registered.
Special Events
We work with SMCC's Men, Women, and Youth Ministries to provide events focused on important growth areas.
